Political infighting insanity

Is it just me or has this country lost it? Political infighting has sullied our rational thinking.
Several for instances:
SUV’s – what were we thinking? There is a war over oil and we waste oil in these things.
Flooding- the world’s oceans are predicted to raise 20 feet over the next 50 years and we are allocating $120 BILLION to rebuild levee’s around New Orleans which is 6 feet below sea level. Those levees will be useless.
But the Republican’s say that the war is NOT about oil. We have plenty of OIL just ask Exxon that made record profits, or ask Ford that is not making cars this quarter because they can not sell those monster trucks. We’ll probably have a bailout Ford.
Also, there is no global warming. That’s just Al Gore and his old sour grapes movie thing…. ummph,…. An Inconvient Truth… yeah, right.
IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WITH THE POLITICAL WILL TO SAVE US, PLEASE!!!!!!
